The setting is Paris, 1969. The problem is a sci-fi film in danger of coming to a halt. The solution is a young American documentary filmmaker who is brought in to finish the film. This green auteur must envision the distant year 2000 and finds himself blurring fantasy and reality as he is seduced by the heroine of the film named Dragonfly.
