Sidney Poitier returns to the screen in a role tailor-made for him as FBI agent Warren Stantin, a street-smart detective whose unflagging sense of justice leads him to pursue a cold-blooded killer to a remote area in the Pacific Northwest. No longer on familiar turf, Stantin enlists the aid of Jonathan Knox (Tom Berenger), an expert survivalist who must guide Poitier into the mountains on a thrill-packed chase.
